"Demelza's Dance" for Wind Sextet

Demelza is the name of the feisty redhead character who is famously the spirited heroine in Winston Graham's Poldark novels. Made into a series on UK TV it was a massive hit.

Demelza's Dance is an original work scored for 2 Flutes, Oboe, 2 Clarinets in B flat and Bassoon. It is in a bright playful 2/4 time in Concert G minor.

The middle section by contrast is in G major and is a lyrical contrasting variation before returning to the G minor section then coda. I have placed it at intermediate level but the youtube link has the full score for you to judge suitability.
