Night in El Beso. A Tango for Flute Choir

This original Tango is scored for 4 C Flutes, Alto and Bass Flute.

El Beso is an historic and famous dance hall ( Milonga) in Buenos Aires Argentina known for it's traditional and intimate atmosphere. There are different types of Tango- Finnish, Nuevo, Ballroom, Salon etc, but El Beso focuses on traditional Tango's having a different theme every day of the week. Additionally it is the only place in the world open 365 days a year from afternoon to late at night to dance a Tango!

Written in concert D minor, I have tried to capture the essence of El Beso in this Tango from it's syncopated rhythms to lyrical moments as well as a calming of the mood in the middle.
